Ok, we all love it when someone says, “You look great!”, or "What have you’ve been doing – you look ten
years younger!"
Or how you feel when you give a new coat of paint
to a room, remodel your home, or just update your hairstyle? Well, after 10 years of our honored bull at
Casa Toro, we decided that we too needed to update our look to reflect who we
are and to show our customers we are listening to them. While we want to keep
the food and the fun upbeat, and – heaven forbid – don’t make major changes, we
also know that you all wanted us to freshen up the place and get with the
times.
So, we decided we needed to update our logo. Let's starts there with the icon bull. What an undertaking. Our chief designer, Tami was given the
monumental task to find the right new look.
She engaged various designers and came up with so many numerous versions
of the new Casa Toro logo.
Here are a few examples:
Feedback was gathered and filtered. Synonymous terms that were associated with
“Mexican Cuisine” were "fresh", "crisp",
"different", and "unconventional." The term “Authentic” resonated with comments
such as "pure", "original", "legitimate",
"dependable", and "factual." WOW – these are strong words and why we pride
our reputation on having such an amazing staff of chefs and tried and true
recipes. Consistency is everything.
We also tested “service", "fun bar", and
"family favorite” – all these again provided great feedback. Friendly smiles, remembering my favorite
drink, bending an ear to the bartenders.
Awesome margaritas, tequila shots and craft beers. Other terms we were provided back were –
“Kids eat free", "Trivia" and "special featured dishes."
Based on all these studies we know, we needed our new look
to reflect the same. After all of this
we are proud to share with you our new logo:
We will continue to keep our original logo in Coopersburg
for the time being – plus a bit of nostalgia is always good
Thanks for following our progress – we look for your
comments and will see you soon.
Hasta pronto amigos!
